![]() The bell rings on the 15 th and final round and Rocky has gone the distance with the Heavyweight Champion of the World. If she believed that his reign was real then he believed it and gave him the inner strength he needed to get ready for his next fight. It takes a stirring speech from her to get him motivated. This again goes back to the central point of the first two movies, his love for Adrian. Adrian convinces Rocky things aren’t as bad as they seem and the pep talk from his wife gets him motivated and ready to fight as we head into the training montage. He admits to being scared and not knowing if his title reign was legit because Mickey handpicked easy opponents for Rocky. It’s out on the beach that Adrian wants to know why he came out here and says if it’s over because he wants it to be then she’s ok with it be she feels like he is quitting. While out in Los Angles, Rocky has trouble training and seemingly doesn’t have his head in the game. Apollo Creed convinces Rocky to challenge Lang again but to train Creed’s way. ![]() After Rocky’s loss to Clubber Lang and the death of Mickey he has been a shell of his former self. This scene is the turning point of Rocky III. This is my favorite part of the movie because the music is going and we see Adrian come out to the arena for the first time. The look on Apollo’s face is priceless as he wonders to himself what he has to do to keep Rocky down. Towards the end of the 14 th Round Apollo Creed knocks down Rocky and Mickey pleads with Rocky to stay down but Rocky hadn’t done what he set out to do and that’s go the distance with Creed so he gets up. These are my favorite moments and what to me helped shape the legend that is Rocky Balboa. This is not a countdown of the most important moments in the history of the franchise. I’ve gone through all six Rocky movies and now here is a countdown of my ten favorite scenes/moments in the Rocky Saga.
